12 ounces Hawaiian bread (or other type of bread (croissants, French bread loaf))
1 cup milk
4 eggs large
1 tbsp. vanilla
3 tsp ground cinnamon (divided)
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup butter
Directions
- Preheat over to 350 degrees.
- Spray 9×13 baking pan with baking spray.
- In a large bowl, add milk, eggs, vanilla, 1 tsp ground cinnamon and sugar. Mix well.
- Tear or break into pieces, the bread, in about 1 inch in size pieces.
- Add bread pieces to baking dish and pour milk mixture over bread.
- Sprinkle bread and milk mixture with 1 tsp ground cinnamon and mix.
- Press bread down into milk to make sure the bread is completely covered in the milk mixture.
- To a food processor, add four, brown sugar, 1 tsp ground cinnamon, salt and butter. Process the mixture until crumbly.
- Cover bread and milk mixture with crumb mixture, covering evenly.
- Bake for about 50 minutes or until the top is browned and crispy. Also check to make sure that the center is set and no longer wet.
