Ingredients

  • 12 ounces Hawaiian bread (or other type of bread (croissants, French bread loaf))

  • 1 cup milk

  • 4 eggs large

  • 1 tbsp. vanilla

  • 3 tsp ground cinnamon (divided)

  • 3/4 cup sugar

  • 1/2 cup flour

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 1/2 cup butter

Directions

  • Preheat over to 350 degrees.
  • Spray 9×13 baking pan with baking spray.
  • In a large bowl, add milk, eggs, vanilla, 1 tsp ground cinnamon and sugar. Mix well.
  • Tear or break into pieces, the bread, in about 1 inch in size pieces.
  • Add bread pieces to baking dish and pour milk mixture over bread.
  • Sprinkle bread and milk mixture with 1 tsp ground cinnamon and mix.
  • Press bread down into milk to make sure the bread is completely covered in the milk mixture.
  • To a food processor, add four, brown sugar, 1 tsp ground cinnamon, salt and butter. Process the mixture until crumbly.
  • Cover bread and milk mixture with crumb mixture, covering evenly.
  • Bake for about 50 minutes or until the top is browned and crispy. Also check to make sure that the center is set and no longer wet.
