French Toast Breakfast Bake
French Toast Bake
- 12 ounces Hawaiian bread or other type of bread (croissants, French bread loaf)
- 1 cup milk
- 4 eggs large
- 1 tbsp. vanilla
- 3 tsp cinnamon divided
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup butter
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Spray cooking spray in a 9×13 baking pan.
In a large bowl, add milk, eggs, vanilla, 1 tsp cinnamon and sugar. Mix well.
Tear or break bread into pieces, about 1 inch in size.
Add bread pieces to baking dish and pour milk mixture over bread.
Sprinkle bread and milk mixture with 1 tsp cinnamon and mix.
Press bread down into milk to make sure the bread is completely covered in the milk mixture.
To a processor, add flour, brown sugar, 1 tsp of cinnamon, salt and butter. Process the mixture until crumbly.
Cover bread and milk mixture with crumb mixture, covering evenly.
Bake for about 50 minutes or until the top is browned and crispy. Also check to make sure that the center is set and no longer wet.
